Cookie Policy
Last updated: October 2026
This page lists everything this site stores in your browser: what it is, who set it, why, and how long it lasts.
Cookies and storage
This site sets no cookies of its own. It uses your browser's localStorage and IndexedDB to keep your preferences, your thumbnails and your consent choice on your device — technically necessary storage for a tool that has no server to save them to. That data never leaves your browser. The only analytics cookies are Google Analytics', and they are set only if you accept them in the consent banner.
What is stored
Everything in this table stays on your device. The site itself sets the first four entries; the Turnstile and Google Analytics entries are set by Cloudflare and Google. There are no advertising entries: the site serves no ads and no ad network stores anything here.
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration | Set by |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| tp_prefs | localStorage | Your preferences: theme, channel name, selected niche packs, dismissed language banner | Until you clear browser data | This site |
| tp-db | IndexedDB | The thumbnails and avatar you load into the tool | Until you clear browser data | This site |
| tp_share_… | localStorage | The key that lets this browser delete a comparison it published | Until the link expires, or until you clear browser data | This site |
| tp_consent | localStorage | Your answer to the consent banner, so it is not asked on every page | 12 months if you accept, 6 if you refuse | This site |
| Cloudflare Turnstile | Cookie / local storage | The anti-abuse check that runs when you press Share; its script is loaded at that moment and never before | Session | Cloudflare |
| _ga | Cookie | Google Analytics: tells one visitor from another across visits. Only set if you accept | 2 years | |
| _ga_Z6ZQ60FYYB | Cookie | Google Analytics: keeps the state of the current visit. Only set if you accept | 2 years |
Advertising cookies
There are none. This site serves no advertising, so no ad network sets cookies or storage here and no advertising code is loaded on any page.
Analytics
Cloudflare Web Analytics is cookieless — it sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device. Google Analytics sets the two _ga cookies above, and only after you accept them; until then, or if you refuse, it stores nothing on your device.
Changing your choices
Use "Manage consent" in the footer to reopen the banner and change your answer at any time. If you withdraw, the Google Analytics cookies are deleted from this browser. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; clearing your browser storage erases your thumbnails and preferences too, along with your consent choice.
