Who is responsible
The controller of any personal data processed through this site is GTECH, VAT ID 16308611009, established in Italy, reachable at houseofclipsss@gmail.com. There is no data protection officer: the site is operated by one person, and that address reaches them directly.
The short version
This site is a client-side tool. Your thumbnails, titles, channel names and imported competitor lists are processed entirely in your browser and are never uploaded, transmitted or seen by us. The one exception is the Share button in the comparison tool, which you have to press yourself: it publishes the pictures you chose at a link, and the section below says exactly what that sends and how long it is kept. There are no accounts, no newsletters, no profiles: we do not collect, store or sell personal data about you.
What stays on your device
Your images and edits are kept in your browser's local storage (IndexedDB and localStorage) so they survive reloads. They exist only on your device; clearing your browser data removes them completely. We have no copy and no way to retrieve them.
When you press Share
The comparison tool can turn a comparison into a link other people can vote on. Nothing is sent until you press that button. When you do, your browser uploads the pictures being compared — redrawn at 640 × 360 and re-encoded first, so the original file and any EXIF data it carried, camera and location included, never leave your device — together with the title and channel name you typed and one preview card composed from them for link unfurls. They are stored by Cloudflare and served from this site. We also store a salted, one-way hash of your IP address — never the address itself — so that abuse can be rate-limited and each vote counted once; it is deleted with the share. The share page is not indexed by search engines, but anyone holding the link can open it. Every share is deleted automatically 30 days after it is created, images included. You can delete it sooner with the button in the tool, from the browser that created it, and you can always write to houseofclipsss@gmail.com to have a link taken down.
What third parties process
Only two companies are involved in running this site, and neither receives anything you do inside the tool. Cloudflare hosts the pages and provides cookieless analytics — like any web host it processes your IP address and request data to deliver the site and protect it from abuse (privacy policy). Google runs the image servers (i.ytimg.com) your browser fetches the competitor thumbnails from (privacy policy). There is no advertising network: the site carries no ads. There are no other vendors, trackers, pixels or data brokers either.
Advertising
This site currently carries no advertising. No ad network is involved, no ad script is loaded on any page, and no advertising cookie or storage is set — there is nothing to accept and nothing to refuse. Ads were served here in the past and have been switched off; if advertising is ever reintroduced, this policy will name the network and describe what it receives before the first ad loads, and you will be asked to choose first.
Consent and how to change it
For advertising there is currently nothing to consent to: no consent banner is shown, and no "Manage consent" link appears in the footer any more. The one thing on this site that still rests on your consent is publishing a comparison with the Share button: you give it by pressing the button and withdraw it by deleting the link, from the browser that created it or by writing to us. If you answered the old advertising banner in the past, that answer may still sit in this browser's local storage; it no longer controls anything, and clearing your browser data removes it.
Analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-first, cookieless service that gives us aggregate page-view counts. It sets no cookies, does not fingerprint you, does not build profiles, and never sees anything you do inside the tool.
Legal bases
Publishing a comparison, and keeping it for up to 30 days, rests on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR): it happens only when you press Share, and you withdraw it by deleting the link or asking us to. The anti-abuse check and the salted address hash stored beside a share rely on our legitimate interest in keeping the feature from being abused (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), as do delivering and securing the site and counting aggregate page views. No processing relies on consent for advertising, because there is no advertising. Nothing on this site relies on a contract, because there is nothing to sign up for.
International transfers
Cloudflare and Google may process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States, under the transfer safeguards described in their own privacy policies — standard contractual clauses and, where applicable, the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
Retention
Apart from comparisons you publish yourself, we hold no personal data, so there is nothing on our side to retain or delete. A shared comparison — its images, its title and the salted hash of the address that created it — is deleted automatically 30 days after creation, or sooner if you ask. Data kept in your browser stays until you clear it. Data held by Cloudflare and Google follows their own retention periods, described in their policies.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and port your data, to object to processing based on legitimate interest, and to withdraw consent at any time. Write to houseofclipsss@gmail.com and you will get an answer within one month. Because we hold no identifiable data about you, some requests can only be answered by pointing you to Cloudflare, who does. You also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority — in Italy, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.
Children
This site is a tool for video creators and is not directed at children. It is not intended for use by anyone under 16, and no content on it is designed for a child audience.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version is published on this page with a new date at the top. If advertising is ever reintroduced, this page will say so before the first ad loads, and a consent banner will ask you first.
